Google AI Pro Plan Gets 5TB Storage and Free Home Premium at No Extra Cost
The $20 per month plan just became a much better deal, with more cloud space, smarter Gemini features, and a bundled subscription thrown in for free.
“It’s definitely not an April Fool’s joke,” Google VP Shimrit Ben-Yair wrote on X this week, reassuring subscribers that the upgrades are real. Google has expanded its AI Pro plan, available at $20 per month or $200 per year, with a major storage boost and several new features at no additional cost. Cloud storage jumps from 2TB to 5TB, and that extra space works across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, not just AI tools.
Gemini is getting smarter inside the plan too. It can now pull context from Gmail and the web to assist with Drive, Docs, Slides, and Sheets. It can summarize your Gmail inbox and proofread emails before you send them. Google is also expanding its agentic capabilities through Chrome, with auto browse handling multi-step tasks like planning a trip or filling out online forms without the user doing it manually.
The biggest bonus is the bundle. Google is folding its Home Premium subscription directly into AI Pro. That subscription normally costs $10 per month on its own. Existing and new subscribers both get it included with no price change.
The storage boost and new features are rolling out now. Some subscribers may not see the changes in their account immediately, but Google confirmed the upgrades are live for all AI Pro users.
