Nvidia has confirmed that DLSS 4.5 with 6x Multi Frame Generation will begin rolling out on March 31 for RTX 50 series graphics cards. The update expands the company’s AI powered graphics technology and aims to significantly increase frame rates in supported games.

The key change is the introduction of 6x Multi Frame Generation. Nvidia says the technology can generate five additional frames for every one frame rendered by the GPU. This creates a maximum six times frame rate multiplier, a major increase compared with the previous DLSS version which could generate up to three extra frames.

Alongside this feature Nvidia will also release Dynamic Frame Generation. This system automatically adjusts the frame generation multiplier depending on the target frame rate or the refresh rate of the user’s display. The goal is to maintain smoother performance without manual configuration.

DLSS technology has become a central part of Nvidia’s graphics strategy. It uses artificial intelligence to reconstruct images and boost frame rates without requiring additional GPU rendering power. With DLSS 4.5 the company is pushing that concept further by increasing the number of AI generated frames between rendered ones.

The announcement was part of Nvidia’s broader updates around its RTX ecosystem. The company also revealed improvements to its cloud gaming service GeForce Now. In the coming months users will be able to link their GeForce Now accounts with the GOG game platform to access more titles.

GeForce Now is also receiving upgrades for virtual reality users. Starting March 19 the service will support frame rates up to 90 frames per second in VR headsets for Ultimate subscribers. Previously the service supported a maximum of 60 frames per second in VR streaming.

Nvidia says more Xbox titles will also arrive in the GeForce Now Install to Play library. Early additions include games such as Brutal Legend and Contrast.

The DLSS 4.5 update represents one of Nvidia’s biggest advances in AI assisted rendering so far. By combining higher frame generation limits with dynamic adjustments the company aims to deliver smoother gameplay on the latest RTX 50 series hardware.
